JJ’s was an on the road stop that did not disappoint. The catfish was lightly battered and perfectly fried as grandma used to fry hers. The fries were the best I have ever eaten. Large portions. Everything was scrumptious! *Note, it’s the perfect hole in the wall local place that only does carry out. Worth the stop!
First time visiting and if I'm ever in the area again I'd come back! The traffic in and out was a good sign it was popular and the man at the register seemed personal like he knew people. Again it was good food and the seasoning was on point!
A very solid spot to grab a nice meal. I love the whole and Buffalo wings. By surprise, their fries are absolutely phenomenal. Everytime I have gone here, my friends and I have been very satisfied. This is definitely a place worth every dollar.
Had the catfish dinner, a piece of the perch, hushpuppies and fries; all very good. Prices were reasonable. Only downside they didn't have regular Coke but I survived.
Decided to try this place. Glad we did, we had chicken and catfish both were very good, a nice seasoning on both. This is highly recommend. Will be back
This JJ Fish is better than the ones up-north Catfish Filet dinner was amazing; breading was crisp, lemon pepper seasoning on top is nice. The fries are great, like beer-battered fries with a bit of lemon pepper on top. The Catfish filet came with 3 fried filets, a pile of fries and a free can of soda. They have a massive selection of soda too. Came with a spicy sauce and mild ketchup, chef’s kiss. I highly recommend this place, I will definitely be back here.
As a proud Kentuckian and fried chicke/fish connoisseur I give JJ's my stamp of approval. Fish was golden and flaky didn't taste muddy. Chicken was juicy, tender, and well seasoned. Hushpuppies were acceptable but on the small side for my tastes. Come visit and get a JJ's mix you won't regret it.
